Die Farbenblindheit, Achromatopsie oder Achromasie (vom griechischen αχρώμα 'ohne Farbe') ist eine seltene, in vielen Fällen erbliche Störung der Farbwahrnehmung, bei der keine Farben, sondern nur Kontraste (hell-dunkel) wahrgenommen werden können. Bei der okulären (oder angeborenen) Achromatopsie ist die Störung des Sehens in der Netzhaut, mithin im Auge, lokalisiert.
